Troubleshoot HTTPS and SSL errors

Check domain routing before requesting or renewing a certificate.

Step by step

  1. Confirm the domain points to the hosting service and that both the root domain and www resolve as intended.
  2. Check the certificate section in your hosting panel and request a certificate for the hostnames you actually use.
  3. Verify that certificate validation can reach the required domain or DNS records. A DNS change can prevent issuance.
  4. Enable HTTPS redirects only after a valid certificate is installed.
  5. If the browser reports mixed content, update application URLs and resources that still use HTTP.
  6. Send support the affected URL and exact error. Never disable certificate validation as a permanent fix.
